Al Fashir Locality, N. Darfur, Witnesses Continuous Development

Al Fashir- The Commissioner of Al-Fashir Locality, capital of North Darfur State, Al Tigani Abdallah Saleh, has disclosed that some 45,000 displaced families have voluntarily

returned to their original areas, affirming that the locality enjoy full security and stability in all its areas.
Speaking to Sudan Vision, the Commissioner of Al Fashir indicated that 12 kilometers of internal roads in the town have been asphalted and illuminated by more than 1050 electric poles using solar energy.
The Commissioner explained that the locality adopts decentralization of services institutions, pointing out that work in the Children Hospital has been completed as it would be inaugurated shortly.
Al Tigani pointed to desire by many investors to operate in the locality, noting that Bank of Khartoum has opened one of its biggest branches in Al Fashir last week.
A visitor to Al Fashir can observe total disappearance of weapons carrying on roads except by the regular forces and that development and service projects are spreading all over the town.
In addition, Al Fashir Radio and TV Corporation is undertaking great efforts to raise awareness of the citizens on the efforts being exerted in the field of development.
Director of the Corporation Mohamed Al Hafez affirmed that they have continued sending advocacy messages to citizens in the various localities, a matter that has contributed to voluntary return of many to their areas.
Al Fashir today enjoys all health, educational, water and road services.
