Khartoum – (SV – SMC) Signatory Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) accused Egypt of not playing any positive role towards Darfur issue since its beginning, besides not hosting any negotiations forum to resolve the issue, adding that Egypt’s stance towards the issues was unclear.
JEM Political Secretary, Mohammed Abdallah warned Cairo against any attempts to involve Darfur armed groups in disturbing the environment in the area.
He added that Darfur insurgents became mercenaries and fight in proxy for other countries, adding that it is not strange for Egypt to benefit from those insurgents in escalating its moves against Sudan, affirming that this conduct is unacceptable by the people of Darfur.
