Khartoum - The African and Arab Youth Council has underscored the importance of voluntary work and the necessity
to unify the modern concepts of voluntary work in the Arab countries.
The Secretary-General African and Arab Youth Council, Dr. Awad Hassan Ibrahim stressed the importance of voluntary work and the necessity to unify the modern concepts of voluntary work in the Arab countries.
Sudan has launched an initiative to promote voluntary work in the Arab countries by reflecting on workshops and experiments across Arab countries in order to come up with a code of ethics to be agreed at the international federation conference scheduled for 2018, the council’s regional representative for the international federation for voluntary work, Eng. Usam Mustafa said.
In its recent conference in Khartoum, the Afro-Arab Youth Council highlighted the essentiality of mobilizing the media in favor of humanitarian work; in addition to the employment of the social media in aid of humanitarian and voluntary activities and programs.
The conferees, representing different voluntary organizations such as Sudanese Red Crescent and Sudanese National Youth Union cited their experiments in mobilizing the youth as well as civil society organizations in advocating and championing voluntary work across the nation.
