Joint Exercise between Sudanese and UAE Armies Starts at Gabait Area

Khartoum-Activities of joint exercise between the Sudanese and United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armies kicked off at Gabait area in Red Sea State Sunday, which comprises in its first stage a number of theoretical works for the personnel of the two armies and aims at boosting the relations between the two countries, especially the military relations.
The commander of the exercise, Brig. Amir Yusuf, said in a statement to Ashrooq that the exercise comprises at the first stage theoretical works, while the second stage involves field works with participation of soldiers and equipment.
He added that the exercise follows signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two countries in last May, according to which the first exercise is to be held in Sudan, while the second one would be held in the United Arab Emirates mid next year.
