Darfur: No More War; Sports is the Core

Khartoum- In a sign that shows that war and tribal conflicts have ended for good in Darfur, the Sudanese National Olympic Committee

celebrated amid big presence implementation of the first stage of its project for distribution of sport materials at the Displaced camps in Darfur, which is implemented under the motto of (No More War Sport is Core), which is supported by the International Olympic Committee in collaboration with UNAMID.
The committee has reflected the stability and security being witnessed now in Darfur after long period of wars and conflicts it had witnessed.
The first delegation has arrived at Al Fashir, capital of North Darfur State, comprising Chairman of the National Olympic Committee Hashim Haroun and federal Minister of Youth and Sports Musa Abdel-Karim, where they distributed sports materials and equipment at Zamzam camp.
Then, another delegation headed by Secretary of the National Olympic Committee Eng. Hotham Hashim and State Minister at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Mustafa Mahoud arrived in Gineina, capital of West Darfur State and distributed similar sport materials and equipment at Karndan camp.
The delegation then moved to South Darfur, where they handed over sports materials at Ghraidh camp.
The delegation concluded its tour by visiting Al Neim Camp in East Darfur state for the same purpose.
