UN Praises Sudan's Report on Climate Change

Khartoum - United Nations announced that the reports prepared by Sudan on the third communication report on climate change were classified as one of the best reports in the Arab world.
 Addressing the first scientific session on climate change organized by the Council for Environment and Natural Resources, the representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Hanan Mutawakil praised the efforts made by the organizers of this program in coordinating the preparation of the third communication report. Secretary General of the council, Dr. Al-Tijani Al-Asam expressed his happiness with the partnership with the Environment and Natural Resources Council and the United Nations Development Program and the participating institutions, pointing out that the problem of climate change has become the first environmental problem in the world, indicating that this session comes from the role of the council in a coordination between all ministries concerned.
