Juba Invites Saleh to Visit South Sudan

Khartoum- South Sudan Ambassador to Khartoum Mayan Dot has announced that the joint political and security committee between Khartoum and Juba will hold a meeting

in Juba following Eid Al Fitr.
Ambassador Dot handed over to First Vice President and National Prime Minister Gen. Bakri Hassan Saleh a written message from South Sudan First Vice President Taban Deng dealing with means of boosting the relations between the two countries and inviting Saleh to visit Juba.
Dot said the meeting was characterized by seriousness and clarity and discussed exchange of benefits, trade relations and opening of passages between the two countries.
He affirmed that the meeting touched on the issues of trade exchange and oil.
Saleh had promised contacts with the government of South Sudan to resolve the issue of the detainees of Sudan Liberation Movement- Second Revolution and their release.
Saleh discussed with State Minister at the Federal Government Chamber and Chairman of Sudan Liberation Movement- Second Revolution Abulgassim Imam at the headquarters of the Council of Ministers Sunday the situations of the detainees of the movement in South Sudan.
Imam said in a press statement following the meeting that the First Vice President promised contacts with the government of South Sudan to resolve the issue of the detainees and their release, noting that the meeting tackled the issues pertinent to the implementation of Doha peace agreement besides boosting peace in Darfur.
