ABU DHABI - (WAM) Samia Mohamed Osman, Director-General of the Sudanese Sanad Charity Organisation, has commended the efforts of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, on the advancement of UAE women, children's care, and the provision of all facilities for the empowerment of women in all fields During her visit to the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, the Director-General was impressed by the achievements of Emirati women with the support of Sheikha Fatima, especially in the political, practical and scientific fields, noting the great attention given by Her Highness for childhood in the UAE.
The Director-General met with Reem Abdullah Al Falasi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and discussed ways of strengthening cooperation and the exchange of experiences between the two sides in the fields of helping women and children and the advancement of women into work. She also visited a number of forums and was briefed on programmes carried out in the interest of women and children.
The council briefed the Sudanese official on its efforts, led by Sheikha Fatima, in providing education and full health care, helping women to look after their children in a better way in order to foster a generation able to bear societal responsibility and participate in the development process in the country.
