Al Dirdieri Affirms Keenness of Sudan on Realizing Stability in Libya

Khartoum- Minister of Foreign Affairs Al Dirdieri Mohamed Ahmed has affirmed keenness of the Sudanese government on realizing security and stability in Libya and

participation of Khartoum in the international and regional efforts that aim at normalizing the situations in Libya.
Al Dirdieri, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, lauded during his participation in the international conference on Libya in Palermo, Italy, the efforts being exerted by the envoy of the UN Secretary General to Libya, Ghassan Salama, affirming readiness of Sudan for coordination of efforts in this connection, especially as regard security and stability in southern Libya.
The minister referred to cooperation between the southern neighbors to Libya, which include Sudan, Chad and Niger, for combatting terrorism, human trafficking and transnational crimes, indicating that such grave risks should be faced immediately and not be left till reaching the political settlement, which may need long time.
