Sudan Reaffirms Commitment to Cooperation with IAEA

Khartoum- Sudan has reaffirmed its total commitment to cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) through various programmes and activities, especially the nuclear power program, in which the state has made steady steps.
Sudan participates in the meetings of the 62nd. Session of the general conference of IAEA, which is convened in Vienna on September 17-21, with a delegation led by Director General of the Sudanese Atomic Energy Authority Prof. Abdulillah Musa Ali.
Prof. Ali presented the statement of Sudan before the general conference, tackling the important role being assumed by IAEA in boosting peace and development through expanding peaceful uses for atomic energy.
The statement also affirmed commitment of the Sudan to full cooperation with IAEA through the various joint programs and activities.
It also referred to the activities of the mission of Sudan in Vienna and its cooperation with the agency.
The Sudanese delegation held meetings on the sidelines of the conference with representatives from each of Russia, China and USA.
