Tahani Addresses Sudanese-Turkish Women Forum

Khartoum-Minister of Communications Dr. Tahani Abdallah has affirmed that the telecommunication sector in Sudan is witnessing rapid progress towards comprehensive digital transformation, noting that the sector has positive effects on all services in the country.
Addressing the opening session of Sudanese-Turkish Women Forum here yesterday, Dr. Tahani said women constitute 35% of employees in the communications sector, explaining that the Sudanese women have achieved successes in all fields.
She indicated that the forum avails an opportunity for exchange of expertise between trade union organizations for boosting relations of cooperation between the two countries.
Chairman of Sudan Workers Trade Unions Federation (SWTUF) Engineer Yousuf Ali Abdul-Karim, on his part, expressed pleasure over holding the second forum in Khartoum, affirming the distinguished relations linking the trade union organizations in the two countries and joint coordination at trade union forums for serving the issues of workers and peoples.
Secretary of Women at the Turkish workers trade union, meanwhile, affirmed importance of role of women and boosting their contributions at the international forums, noting that Turkey is a strategic area for trade unionist work concerning women.
