Khartoum – Sudan was officially handed over the Chairmanship the Arab League Council 150th Round from Saudi \Arabia on permanents representatives’ level.

Ambassador of Sudan in Cairo and its permanent representative in the Arab League, Abdul Mahmoud Abdul Halim lauded the efforts of Saudi Arabia during its chairmanship of the 149th round.
He added, during the launching of the Arab League Council Meeting in its 150th round which took place in its  General Secretariat in the presence of the Secretary-General Ahmed Abul Gait, that the Arab are capable to rewrite the history through cooperation in meeting the aspirations of their people.
He pointed out to the challenges ahead which require more efforts to stop the conflicts in Libya, Syria and Yemen, stressing on the importance of the Palestinian cause which is passing a crucial stage within the daily violations of the Israeli occupation.
He added that the stopping of UNRWA funding is dangerous, affirming that Sudan will be in a leading position among the nations that defend the unity of the Arab states.
The Arab League Council will discuss several issues on top of which is the development in the Palestinian cause and the situation in each of Syria, Libya and Yemen on the light of the UN envoy meeting with the Yemeni parties in Geneva.
The meeting will also discuss other social issues including confronting the sexual violence against women.
The meeting will discuss the participation of Arab states in the UN meetings through setting a coordinative mechanism before the participation in the meetings.
