Sudan Lauds UNICEF Support to Issues of Childhood and Development

Khartoum- Minister of International Cooperation Idris Suleiman has commended the continuous support UNICEF

has remained to extend in boosting the issues of childhood and comprehensive development in Sudan.
The Minister, addressing mid-year review meeting between Sudan and UNICEF here yesterday, expressed appreciations to relevant government departments  and partners for their great role in implementation of the agreed upon national programs at the federal and state levels.
Suleiman affirmed commitment of the Sudanese government to provide the necessary resources for the national component and extend effective support in a view to realizing the objectives of the country program for 2018-2021.
He pointed out that Sudan looks forward for continued financial and technical support by UNICEF for enhancing the national capacities and creating new opportunities for supporting the issues of the children and development.
UNICEF Resident Representative in Khartoum Abdallah Fadil, on his part, reaffirmed cooperation of the organization with Sudan in a way that realizes the national priorities, with emphasis on development, reviewing the achievements that have been realized in the various fields.
