Al Bashir and Ethiopian PM Discuss Peace and Security at Region

Khartoum - (SUNA) President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al Bashir, Sunday received in his residence in Beijing, on the sidelines of the China–Africa Forum, the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, and discussed progress of the bilateral relations between the two countries and the ways of boosting peace and security at the Horn of Africa Region.
President Al-Bashir has informed the Ethiopian Prime Minister and current Chairman of the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) on progress of the agreement for achieving peace and stability in South Sudan State and its entry to the executive stages and the phase of mechanisms for ceasefire and assembling of forces.
The meeting tackled the efforts of Sudan for realizing peace in the Central African Republic and the encouraging start of the first talks between the disputing parties.
The President of the Republic and Ethiopian Prime Minister are participating in the China – Africa cooperation Forum in Beijing.
