Sudan Hails EU's Role in Success of Food Security Programmes in East and Blue Nile States

Khartoum - Minister of International Cooperation, Idris Suleiman praised the great role played by the EU's Technical Advisory Unit in helping to make food security programs more successful and improve the standard of living and support small farmers and producers in the three eastern states and the Blue Nile
This came in the meeting that attended by a number of international and national organizations working on food security projects.
The minister stressed that his ministry will work to remove obstacles to the implementation process, calling for the need to diversify agricultural products, stressing that the programs and projects implemented are aligned with the national strategies of the state, which calls for increase production and productivity and improve the standard of living.
For his part, Eng. Abdel Hamid Rahmatallah Senior Advisor for Food Security and Development of the European Union said that these organizations are implementing food security projects from the resources of the European Union, pointing out that there is a national and global organization in each eastern states implementing projects.
