Khartoum - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omar Al Bashir, on Monday was briefed on the performance of the Ministry of Petroleum and Gas and the efforts exerted to increase petroleum production in the coming phase.
The President on Monday received the Minister of Petroleum Dr Abdul Rahman Osman who pointed out in press statements that the coming phase will see more expansion in field of petroleum production with the discovery of new fields.
The minister promised that those fields would be made public upon the production stage which, he said, would increase the country's petroleum production and that the ministry is currently working to increase the oil reserve in the Sudan through discoveries of new fields.
