Parliaments of Sudan and Venezuela Agree to Boost Relations

Omdurman – National Assembly Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Mohammed Al-Tijani has discussed with the Constituent of Venezuela Ms. Aleydys Manaure who was accompanied

by the Ambassador of Venezuela Mr, Anibal Marquez at the parliament building in Omdurman the ways of cooperation and exchanging of experiences between the two parliaments in terms of training, monitoring and legislations due to the similarity of the system of governance in both countries.
The meeting discussed the challenges facing the two nations besides the impact of the US unilateral sanctions on the people of the two countries.
Al-Tijani calls for activating the popular and diplomatic relations through the formation of follow-up committees and creating joint visions and ideas with the related institutions.
He added that the Sudanese parliament will benefit from the Venezuelan experience in making 2020 elections electronic, briefing the visiting delegation on the Sudanese experience in the electronic government, the national dialogue and the political forces participation in the national accord government.
For her part the visiting Deputy International Relations Commission in the Venezuelan parliament, Ms. Aleydys Mansure affirmed her country’s keenness in achieving regional peace, confirming their support to peace in Darfur, adding that this visit will be an actual start for parliamentary relations between Sudan and Venezuela.
He said that her visit aims at opening new horizons of relations with Sudan considering that both Sudan and Venezuela are affected by the US sanctions.
For his part, the Venezuelan Ambassador, Inibal Marquez hand an invitation to the Sudanese Parliament to visit Venezuela next April, pointing out that his country is ready for fruitful cooperation with Sudan in all aspects.
