Khartoum - Foreign Minister, Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour and Chief of the National Security and Intelligence Service (NISS), 1st Lt General Mohamed Atta Al-Mawla Abbas, arrived
in Cairo yesterday evening to hold a series of meetings with their Egyptian counterparts on the roadmap for relations between the two countries. Ghandour was received by his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shukri at the airport.
Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Qariballah Al-Khidir, said, in a statement, that the visit comes as one of the fruits of the directives of the bilateral summit between presidents Al Bashir and Al-Sisi on the sidelines of the 30th summit of the African Union in Addis Ababa.
The two-day visit aims at setting a roadmap to address all issues to secure the course of the relations between the two countries, where relations between them witness tension in media, against the background of controversial issues.
According to sources, the Egyptian intelligence sought to destroy the economy of Sudan by printing Sudanese currency of the category of fifty pounds and entered it to the Sudanese market to buy the dollar, which leads to a bottleneck in the market and high prices.
