Constituent Meeting of North-South Women Friendship Association

The Women Department at the Council for International People’s Friendship (CIPF) has established the North-South Women Friendship Association, which came at a kind initiative by a number of South Sudanese women.
The constituent meeting of the association was held at the CIPF premises in the presence of CIPF Secretary General Engineer Abdel-Moneim Al-Sunni.
The meeting stressed the importance of giving concern to the issues of women and children and disseminating the culture of peace besides promotion of arts and sports to spread love in the society.
The issues of family economy and education of children would also be given priority by the association.
The meeting elected Teresa John as Chairwoman for the association, with Imman Mohamed Hussein as her deputy and Clara Mwaya as Secretary General.
