Sudanese-German Friendship Association Organizes Ramadan Iftar

Sudanese-German Friendship Association, in cooperation with the German Embassy in Khartoum, set up its annual Iftar at the German club, attended by a large number of the German community, state’s representatives, members of the association, some national leaders and representatives of the media.
Deputy German ambassador to Khartoum expressed his happiness to the gathering of the Sudanese as they live the joy of fasting Ramadan, stressing that this gathering strengthens the cohesion of the society, adding that the Sudanese-German relations have been strong and durable since ancient times, and are historic in all fields, especially on political and economic and social fields.
President of the Sudanese-German Friendship Association said that the associations are the important mechanism for activating the work of the people's diplomacy, by creating social programs, referring to the activities carried out by the association this year.
 In Charge of the European and Americas Department of Council for International People’s Friendship (CIPF), Mohamed Hatem said that diplomatic associations are a private body that has nothing to do with politics or party organizations, as it is a popular action to connect people and encourage investment, noting that the council has nearly 300 friendship societies representing the nations of the world, where  they are working on the solidarity of the people, referring to his recent visit to the United States, where he met with a number of relevant institutions working in the popular work and formed friendship associations there, stressing that the exchange of visits is very important work through artistic and cultural programs.
President of the peer associations at CIPF said the Iftar is a good opportunity to communicate with the community, describing Germany as an important country, calling for communication with all other associations.
